Yes — completely freely, forever. Here's everything you need to know.
The short answer
You may use, teach, and advertise the Quick Fans Method in any way you choose, for any reason, with no restrictions. You do not need to credit Light Heart or Maddi Morris, and you may use it in any content — including commercial content.
Why Light Heart made this promise
In recent years, brands have begun trademarking lash technique names and enforcing those trademarks. This has created real legal risk for independent educators who may unknowingly teach a protected technique.
We believe legal concerns should never limit your career or your impact as an educator. That's why Light Heart developed the Quick Fans Method — a technique and name that every lash artist and educator can use freely, without worry.
This page on our website serves as our public promise to all lash artists, educators, and brand owners:
Light Heart will never take legal action against anyone for using, teaching, or advertising Quick Fans or the Quick Fans Method.
What about the trademark?
Light Heart has filed for trademark on the term "Quick Fans Method." This may sound contradictory — but the purpose of this trademark is actually to protect the community, not restrict it.
By holding the trademark ourselves, we prevent any other individual or business from trademarking the term and enforcing their own restrictions on its use. Think of it as a protective barrier for the entire lash industry.
The one restriction
In order to maintain the trademark and keep it freely available to everyone, there is one thing we cannot allow:
🚫 No individual or business may claim that they invented the Quick Fans Method.
If we allowed this, our trademark could be deemed invalid — and we would lose the legal protection that keeps this technique open to everyone. Outside of this one restriction, you are completely free.
