The Quick Fans Method is Light Heart's signature technique for creating beautiful handmade lash fans — and it's completely free to learn, teach, and use forever.
The idea behind it
When it comes to making handmade fans, every technique in the world comes down to two things: pick up the lashes, then dip them in adhesive. That's it.
The Quick Fans Method is simply the most refined, efficient version of those two steps. With only 4 movements and 4 seconds, it's designed to be fast, clean, and easy to replicate consistently — whether you're a beginner picking up tweezers for the first time or an experienced artist looking to streamline your workflow.
The 4 steps
- Pick up lashes with 100% pressure, peeling toward you
- Move to your glue palette and dip the fan to the bottom
- Release minimal pressure, then immediately apply pressure back
- Move immediately to the natural lash and wrap while the adhesive is still wet
That's it. Four steps. Four seconds. A perfect fan every time.

Why Light Heart developed Quick Fans
In recent years, some brands have trademarked lash technique names and begun enforcing those trademarks — meaning educators could face legal risk for teaching certain methods.
We believe that should never happen. Light Heart developed the Quick Fans Method and its name specifically so that every lash artist and educator has a technique they can use and teach freely, without any legal concerns.
Light Heart has filed for trademark on the term "Quick Fans Method" — not to restrict its use, but to protect it. By holding the trademark ourselves, we prevent anyone else from trademarking it and enforcing limitations on the lash community.
Can I teach Quick Fans?
Yes — completely freely. You do not need to credit Light Heart or Maddi Morris when teaching or advertising the Quick Fans Method. You may use it in any content, including commercial content, forever.
The only restriction is that no individual or business may claim they invented the Quick Fans Method.
